Lisa Aycock
April 13, 1955
Lisa Aycock found music was a big focus in her family while growing up, but not dancing. She tried her hand at piano and viola lessons, played flute in the band, played hand bells and sang in the choir. As she aged, with diverse careers in accounting, restaurant management, network technical support, and finally a stained and fused glass business, she decided it was time to realize her childhood dreams and take up dancing. At almost age 59, she started taking tap dance lessons and then later added in other types of dancing such as line dancing, ballroom and clogging. It has opened up a whole new world and given her the opportunity to be in stage productions, parades, competitions and to entertain at retirement centers, fairs, park events, etc. - all to her heart's delight. Other than dancing, she enjoys traveling and has been to over 40 countries. She also enjoys gardening, baking, crafting, and putting smiles on peoples' faces.
