My name is Janet Joyce, “JJ”.  I am married and reside in  

                                                      Johns Creek, a suburb of  Atlanta, Georgia. My

                                                      husband, Tim, and I  are pleased that our three children

                                                      and three grandchildren also reside in this area, as we

                                                      love being a part of their active lives. Tim and I are very

                                                      involved in our neighborhood activities, Book Club,

                                                      and serving on the HOA board.

I took dance lessons when I was young, was in talent shows, on drill team, and on Pom-pom squad in High School. As a young wife and working parent, I went out casual dancing as my favorite choice of entertainment. I even competed in roller skate dancing. I feel that dancing as a Senior keeps me happy, healthy, fit, energized, and helps me stay young!

After an early retirement from a career in Healthcare Management, I joined a health club where I took Aerobics and Zumba dance classes. I found that I lost weight, as I was having fun. Several years ago, I joined a Senior Dance team, The ATL. Silver Classix Crew. This Crew dances Hip-hop style at the Atlanta Hawks and Braves Games, as well as at other public entertainment venues. In 2012, I was accepted as a dancing and singing member of the Georgia Senior Follies. I have since performed at the 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2019 Senior Follies Shows.

At the 2012 Follies rehearsals, I met talented members of the PARIS Dancers Group. By the Spring of 2012, I joined the Paris Dancers and have loved learning various style jazz and tap routines and performing at Senior facilities, Theaters and other entertainment venues. I love to continue learning from our talented choreographers, and having healthy fun times with co-dancer friends. I am very proud to be a part of this energetic Dance Team.

I am also involved in the Atlanta  Acting business, portraying an active Senior!  I have been featured as background talent in many TV Series shows and Movies over the past several years.

​

My goal is to primarily continue Dancing with the fabulous Paris Dancers, keeping healthy, active and fit. Next, other goals are to Travel, and to learn Acting skills for  Commercials and Ads geared to active Seniors.
