Jan Stanley

Feb. 11, 1947

Jan has always loved dancing.  Growing up as an only child she would watch American Bandstand and dance in front of the TV every day.  As a child, she never had the opportunity to take dancing lessons.  When she retired in 2010, she was looking for a new passion and discovered tap and line dance classes for Seniors.  She signed up for both classes and just couldn’t get enough!   She signed up for a second class and then a third one each week.   She soon started performing with a senior dance group, entertaining at Nursing Homes and Assisted Living facilities.   In 2015 she performed for the first time on stage and fell in love with it!   She performed several times at the Cumming Playhouse in the “Mardi Gras Variety Show” and in 2016, she and her husband were King and Queen.  In December of 2016, she performed in the “Senior Follies” and in March of 2017 in “A Salute to America”.  She joined the Paris Dancers in April of 2017 and is thrilled to be part of such a talented group.
