Carol Seitz
Nov. 26, 1949
Carol Seitz is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She lives in the City of Berkeley Lake, a small lake community north of Atlanta. During the 30+ years living there, she has been involved with activities as being on the HOA and Lake Berkeley Chapel boards, City Events Planner, Art Advisory Chair, Juror for Lens, and is a member of the community’s ladies club, BLOSOMS.
She has always loved dancing since her first dance class as a child. Growing up in the ‘60’s, she loved the music and dances that were poplar during the high school years. Dancing took a backseat when she began working at Hewlett-Packard.
Now that Carol and her husband Steve are retired, they spend time traveling, sailing, taking biking trips, and enjoying lake life.
After retiring she joined a belly dance class in which one of her performances was on the top of a pontoon boat during the Lake’s Regatta. The boat received 1st place and was featured on the front page of the weekend news. In 2012 she became a member of the Atlanta Silver Classix Crew dance team. The Crew performed high energy style dance for the Atlanta Hawks, Braves Games and community festivals. In 2014 and 2019, she performed a number of dance routines and made her acting debut as Goldie Hawn in various sketches & Melody in “Went With the Wind” in the Georgia Senior Follies Shows. In 2015 & 2016, she performed in the Mardi Gras Musical Variety Show. She has also performed with her tap dance group at Senior Centers. She has had acting parts in community theater of Simply Drama, workshop at Lionheart Theater, and in Berkeley Lake’s Christmas Play and Talent Show.
Carol continues taking art and dance classes along with participating in theater workshops whenever possible. She is the happiest when she is dancing! She loves music, the movement, and fusing it all together. Carol feels as though dancing keeps her young…. that dancing is as much a mental exercise, as it is a physical one.
In 2017, Carol joined the PARIS Dancers. She is excited to be performing with this amazing senior dance team! It brings her great joy to her and hopefully to the audience for which she performs.
