Amanda "Mandy" Egron
Born in Jacksonville, Florida, I began studying Ballet, Tap and Jazz at the age of 5 with Miss Mervyn at Mervyn’s School of Dance. It was a wonderful beginning to a life long love of dance in all of it’s forms with recitals every year. As a teenager I performed with the Ballet Guild of Jacksonville and chose to pursue a career in Ballet. I attended The North Carolina School of the Arts, University of North Carolina, Greensboro and Point Park College in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania where I performed with the Pittsburg Ballet Theater. Traveling to France, I studied with Rosella Hightower at the Centre de Danse International, in Cannes and auditioned with dance companies all over Europe. I landed a job in France with The Ballet du Rhine, performing in cities along the Rhine River as well as in Strasbourg, our home base. Much to my chagrin an injury cut my career short and I returned to the USA married, had two children and taught dance in San Francisco, CA. Forty years later and divorced I relocated to Atlanta and soon discovered The Paris Dancers. This company has been a life saver, giving me an outlet to dance, entertain and give back to my community and I’m loving every minute of it!
